According to Graduate Management Admission Council’s
(GMAC) Year-End Poll of Employers, in 2015 just like 2014, there will be a
strong hiring process in place for MBA graduates throughout India with a
typical work experience of 4-5 years. However, 2015 trends in MBA jobs in India
also revealed the fact that increased hiring will be done for management programs
with candidates having 0 to 3 years of work experience.
- Compensation - A majority
of employers who participated in the poll said that in 2015 they plan to
increase the starting salary of the newly appointed MBA’s between 54-74%. One
third of the companies said they would keep the salary flat while just 3%
employers said they would decrease the base salary.
- Two types of candidates usually
get MBA
jobs – experienced and fresher. In 2015, 85% firms expect to hire
experienced directly from industry candidates while 78% of employers plan
to hire business school graduates from 82% in 2014.
- Around 87% of employers
plan to offer internships to bachelor’s graduates while 55% of surveyed
employers plan to offer internships to MBA holders.
- Hiring is also likely to
increase for other management programs, including accounting (85%),
finance (78%), and Master in Management (86%).
Standing in 2015, it is clear from the above stats that more
and more companies are willing to hire MBA candidates in various lucrative
posts. Therefore, Indian students looking forward to make a bright career should
get enrolled in an MBA program to soon start earning in millions!
